As a four-time winner of the Glenfiddich Drinks Book of the Year Award and chairman of the judges of the World Whiskies Awards (WWA), Dave Broom is one of the biggest – if not the biggest – name in the industry. He is an acclaimed author with more than 20 years of experience and countless titles under his belt, with his latest book being “The World Atlas of Whisky”.

At Whisky Live Singapore 2016, Dave will be hosting a masterclass on comparative tasting with the special opening of the last two barrels of Karuizawa owned by La Maison du Whisky at the event – Karuizawa 1965 Bourbon Cask and Karuizawa 1965 Sherry Cask – to celebrate La Maison du Whisky’s 10th anniversary in Singapore.

  1. All the Fun with Rum

Following his success at the event in 2015, Rum Legend Luca Gargano returns to Whisky Live for yet another year, bringing with him more excitement and knowledge to share with rum and spirits enthusiasts. He will be presenting a masterclass on Velier’s range of premier rums.

Making his debut is master Mixologist Rogerio Igarashi Vaz, co-founder and chief bartender of Bar Tram and Bar Trench in Japan, which was chosen as one of the world’s 100 best bars in 2014 by World’s 50 Best Bars & World’s Best Bars.

His acclaimed Bar Trench will be recreated in Singapore exclusively at Whisky Live Singapore 2016, where Rogerio will be on hand to give guests an unforgettable experience. Two exclusive creations – Two Gun Northside and Coriander Southside – will make their first appearance at the event.

With this year’s event set at the prestigious Capella Hotel Singapore, guests can expect a refreshing approach to food at the event: The collaboration with Executive Chef of Capella Hotel, Chef David Nicolas Senia with Whisky Live Singapore 2016 will create a unique and memorable dining experience especially for attendees.

Known for his culinary excellence of drawing inspiration from new experience with local flavours, Chef David is inspired to create a menu based on whisky as a key ingredient for his dishes. Guests attending Whisky Live 2016 will have the opportunity to experience 2 portions of the food per day.

This year will see Whisky Live Singapore’s biggest show yet. Making its debut this year is The Macallan, together with three other main brands of single malt whisky to share, namely Old Pulteney, Balblair and AnCnoc.

Guests will also see the return of some of the world’s most notable distilleries such as Glenfiddich, Dalmore, Kavalan, Aberlour, Mortlach, Nikka and many more. Crowd favourites such as Monkey 47, Chalong Bay, and Don Papa will also be showcasing their latest steals for those who prefer spirits.
